If you’re a lifelong Disney fan, you’re going to love this heart-warming real life “Fox and Hound” story!
It all started when Scandinavian photographer Torgeir Berge and his canine companion Tinni set out one day to explore the chilly Norwegian woods. Along the way, Tinni came across a wild fox and the two quickly struck up a bond that has proved to be unbreakable. Scroll down and witness this strange and unusual animal friendship!
As Berge observed the pair, he became increasingly aware of just how similar the wild fox was to his domesticated best friend. Naming the fox Sniffer, he chronicled their friendship with a series of snapshots that capture the delightful real life story of Disney’s beloved pups, Tod and Copper.
Sniffer and Tinni are now inseparable and are living proof that true friendship has the power to overcome differences, whether they are related to breed, culture, religion or any other divisive trait of character. We think this is something that we can all learn from!

The humbling experience has inspired Berge to write a children’s book raising much needed awareness about the fur industry and the exploitation of lovable foxes such as Sniffer.
“Sniffer and Tinni want our help to spread their message about fur and friendship, and the knowledge about that the fox is only a dog of the forest with the same reactions and movements as the dogs we look at as the man’s best friend” said Berge.

After seeing pictures of the thick as thieves pair, we can definitely see where Berge is coming from! He really has captured a special bond that proves just how powerful animal friendships can be.
“No animals should be living like the animals in the fur industry are living. No one who has seen the pictures of Sniffer and Tinni, can think anything else. Hopefully the book about Sniffer and Tinni will give readers the same feeling, while at the same time they learn something about foxes and might get a different view of real friendship than they had before.”
